I am having a bit of trouble with my SLR camera's lens hood can anyone help? - do slr lenses good lens hood

I use the lens hood with filter? If I put my hood on the camera and in the middle, I hit the shutter button activates the auto focus my umbrella with the objective that I think is not the case. Can anyone help?
